About West Auchenhean
This peaceful site sits in rural countryside just a half-hour drive southwest of Glasgow city centre. On the edge of the Clyde Muishiel Regional Park, enjoy the stunning views and excellent walks on your doorstep. Just cross the lane and head into the park for longer hill walks (boots required).
You’re also just a 20 minute drive into Largs for beaches and Kelburn Country Park. Plus, you’re only 30 minutes to the UK’s largest loch, Loch Lomond.
The site boasts two luxurious, pet-friendly glamping pods, which sleep up to six guests each. A double bed, sofa bed and bunk bed provide a comfy rest after your day exploring, and an equipped kitchenette and dining table are the perfect space to cook up a delicious meal.
In the evenings, unwind in your private hot tub. Perfect for all the family!
Dogs are welcome too.
West Auchenhean is open all year round in 2023 and 2024.
A note from the site themselves…
The farm and derelict farmhouse was bought in 2017 and the years since then have been spent renovating buildings and taking the land back from the brambles and nettles that swamped the fields.
The pod field has a unique atmosphere and the vision to build pods and share the setting with others is one that has now been reached . It is fantastic that people seem to enjoy the setting as much as we do.
